Occupy Köln was derived from the Protest Camp on the Rudolfplatz which was founded on June 19th 2011 as solidarity action for Arab Revolutions and Spanish protests. The camp moved to the Chlodwigplatz after a neo-nazi attack in July 2011. After a while the police allowed just the information tent to remain. The camp celebrated its half-year birthday on Dec 19th 2011.
